Doctors Drowning in Debt

In 2007, medical student debt activism got a face-lift; students around the country rose up to engage in discussion, develop fresh ideas, and organize new efforts.

Introducing... Doctors Drowning in Debt (D3),
the new face of AMSA's activism and programming around medical student debt.

Our mission is:

  1. to provide a voice for medical students in Washington DC on educational financing,

  2. enhance public knowledge of the considerable debt burden of medical students, and the effects that rising debt have on healthcare delivery,

  3. improve students' ability to manage debt without limiting their decisions on specialty/practice setting.
