MEMBER TYPES		DUES
Medical Student Available to medical students enrolled in or on leave of absence from any LCME or AOA accredited or provisionally accredited North American allopathic or osteopathic training program. Print Application/Brochure		$75 - 1st and 2nd years $55 - 3rd and 4th years
Premedical Student Available to any student attending or having graduated from an accredited university in the U.S. who has demonstrated a serious interest in the profession of medicine and the objectives of the Association. See your local chapter officers for local AMSA membership eligibility. Print Application/Brochure		$35 for 1 year $55 for 2 years $65 for 3 years $75 for 4 years
International Medical Student Available to all American and foreign students enrolled in any program listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED) of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), or who are in training at foreign medical institutions who have demonstrated a serious interest in the profession of medicine and the objectives of the organization. Supporting Affiliate Available to those not eligible for medical, premedical, international medical or resident/alumni membership -- includes allied health professionals such as nurses, physical therapists, etc. Print Application		$35 annually except for those in foreign countries where a higher rate may be necessary
Resident/Alumni Available to any person engaged in graduate education in the U.S. who has demonstrated a serious interest in the profession of medicine and the objectives of the organization. Resident membership shall be conferred automatically to AMSA medical student members upon the completion of undergraduate medical education provided they fulfill resident membership requirements. International affiliate members who have completed medical school and fulfilled resident membership requirements may become resident members by contacting the AMSA national office. Resident membership shall be from the time of receipt of dues at the AMSA national office (in the case where dues are owed) or the initiation of graduate medical education (in the case where dues are not owed) until the completion or termination of graduate medical education. To receive The New Physician magazine, members must pay the annual magazine subscription fee.
